For AI Coding Agents · iPhone / iPad / Android

Run Claude Code
from your phone.

A mobile SSH terminal built for Claude Code and other CLI-based AI coding agents. Japanese IME, persistent connections, SFTP filer — so spare minutes become real dev time.

The era of AI coding agents is here.
But mobile SSH still has the same old walls:
Japanese won’t type. Connections drop. Code is unreadable.
The less time you have at your PC, the more painful these get.
SSH Term was built to solve all three.

Three reasons to choose it

Three strengths, designed from day one for phone × AI coding.

01 Japanese IME

One of the few SSH apps that types Japanese

Mobile SSH's biggest wall is Japanese input. SSH Term ships a dedicated IME mode so you can send Japanese prompts to Claude Code, write git commit messages, and edit files — all in your native language.

02 Keep-Alive

Stays connected, even in the background

AI agent tasks can run for minutes. A foreground service plus wakelock keeps your SSH session alive. On network loss, it reconnects automatically — up to 3 attempts with exponential backoff.

3 retries

auto-reconnect with exponential backoff

03 Code Preview

Preview AI-generated code, in the app

A built-in SFTP file browser plus syntax highlighting for 40+ languages. Check Claude Code's output without leaving the app. On tablets, a two-pane layout shows file list and preview side by side.

OpenSSH-compatible. Your existing servers, agents, and shells just work.

Spare time, turned into dev time — in three steps

01

Run Claude Code on your PC

Launch Claude Code (or any CLI agent) inside a long-running session — tmux, screen, or a remote VPS.

02

SSH in from your phone

Open SSH Term, tap a saved connection profile, and you're in. Key generation happens in-app — no PC needed.

03

Send prompts in spare moments

Type instructions, hand off to the AI, and close the app. The session keeps running in the background.

Three things that change the day you download

¥800 flat. No signup. 30 seconds to start.

Start coding right this moment

Commutes, breaks, after the kids are asleep — dead time turns straight into dev time.

Send Japanese prompts directly

No language toggling. Type prompts in Japanese (or English) and ship them straight to your AI agent.

No ads, no signup, instant use

No account creation, no in-app upsells. Every feature is unlocked the moment you download.

Japanese input that just works on mobile

Most mobile SSH apps mangle Japanese input. SSH Term's dedicated IME mode handles composition properly so you can prompt Claude Code, write commit messages, or edit files in Japanese without friction.

  • Native Japanese composition in the terminal
  • Smooth Japanese prompting to Claude Code
  • Japanese commits and file edits

Code preview, all inside the app

An SFTP file browser lets you inspect anything Claude Code generates or edits. Tablets get a two-pane layout; phones get a clean swipe-based browser.

  • Syntax highlighting for 40+ languages
  • One-tap copy to clipboard
  • Bookmarks, sort, show hidden files

Reassurance that the connection won't drop

A foreground service plus wakelock keeps your SSH connection alive while the app is backgrounded. On a network drop, auto-reconnect retries up to 3 times with exponential backoff.

  • Connection persists in the background
  • Auto-reconnect on Wi-Fi handoff
  • Sleep prevention to protect sessions

Details, made for developers

In-app SSH key generation

Generate Ed25519 / RSA 2048 / RSA 4096 keys inside the app. Copy the public key to clipboard and paste into authorized_keys — done.

16 themes × 14 fonts

Dracula, Nord, Tokyo Night and more — 8 dark + 8 light. Fira Code, JetBrains Mono, HackGen, and others optimized for CJK.

Multi-tab sessions

Manage multiple SSH connections in tabs. Run an agent in one, watch logs in another.

Security

Credentials encrypted at rest (iOS Keychain / Hive encrypted boxes). Biometric / PIN lock. No tracking.

Input assist toolbar

One-tap Ctrl+C, Tab, Esc, arrow keys, F1–F12, Home, End. Full terminal control without a physical keyboard.

Connection profiles

Save frequently used server credentials and connect with a single tap.

Bookmarks

Bookmark folders and files per host. Jump to your project root or log directory in one tap.

Multilingual UI

Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese.

Three auth methods

Password / public key (file or in-app generated) / keyboard-interactive.

Simple pricing, designed for trust

¥800

tax included / flat

  • All features, no limits
  • No upsells, no hidden costs
  • No ads
  • Updates included at no extra cost

Three things we don’t do

  • 01

    No tracking

No usage data is sent externally.

  • 02

    No plaintext storage

Passwords and keys live in iOS Keychain / Hive encrypted boxes.

  • 03

    No third-party sharing

No account required. Fully client-side, no server in between.

Biometric and PIN app locks are available — sessions stay protected if you lose your device.

Where it really pays off

The time you can’t spend at the PC is often the time you most wanted to be coding.

Commuting engineer

30s · Web dev

"45 minutes on the train became 45 minutes of review work"

No room to open a laptop on a packed train. Send a Japanese instruction like "address the review comments" to Claude Code at home. By the time you arrive, the PR is updated.

Parent on leave

30s · Backend dev

"15 minutes after bedtime keeps a side project alive"

Can't open a laptop while holding the baby. With SSH Term, dispatch instructions one-handed after bedtime; by the time the baby is asleep, the work is done.

Working from a café

40s · Freelancer

"Safe progress checks where a laptop is too exposed"

In open cafés and coworking spots, a laptop screen feels too public. SSH in from your phone and just check the AI's progress and the diff.

Infra on-call

30s · SRE

"First response on incidents — 10 minutes earlier"

When the pager hits, opening two tabs side-by-side — one for production logs, one for a debug shell — is what saves time. In-app key generation also speeds up emergency setup.

*Illustrative scenarios. Actual results vary by environment, connection, and host.

Frequently asked

How much does it cost? Any ads or extra charges?

A simple flat ¥800 (tax included). One payment, all features unlocked, no limits. No in-app purchases, no ads.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes — iPhone, iPad, Android phones, and Android tablets are all supported. No account is required, so changing devices is just a re-download.

Can I try it without an SSH server?

You can download the app and explore theme/font settings and SSH key generation without a connection. Actual terminal use requires SSH access to a VPS or your home PC.

Will the connection really stay alive in the background?

On Android, a foreground service and wakelock keep the connection alive. On network drops, it auto-reconnects up to 3 times with exponential backoff. Forced OS termination or extended no-signal periods may still disconnect.

Are my credentials stored safely?

Connection details and keys are stored in OS-level secure storage (iOS Keychain / Hive encrypted boxes). The app itself can also be locked with biometric or PIN authentication. No usage data is sent externally.

Can I use it for non-Claude-Code workflows?

Absolutely. It works as a general SSH client for server management, log inspection, and remote development. The design is centered on AI agent workflows, but it's a complete SSH client.
